Life is like a beach for youngsters at Scotswood Village Nursery since its outdoor play space was transformed!.
New Tyne West Development Company (NTWDC) – the regeneration partnership comprising Newcastle City Council and Keepmoat building homes at The Rise, nearby – donated time and supplies to renovate the play area. It also provided new chalkboards, musical instruments and dressing up clothes.
Teacher Jen Rodden says: “The children absolutely love the new resources. The sandpit is amazing and we have seen a positive difference in the way the children interact, embrace their creativity and work together. Thanks to NTWDC for making this happen”.
