A Northeast developer is building its team to coincide with the launch of its latest development.
David Carr, 37 and from Newcastle joins the team as a New Homes Sales Advisor at the developer’s Vallum Heights in Newcastle. Since his appointment he has secured five reservations at the recently launched site and with the show home now open, demand is expected to rise even further.
He brings considerable experience to the position having worked in a variety of customer facing roles in both travel and tourism, and since 2017 in the new build property sector.
Vallum Heights is Amethyst’s second city centre project, located just off Westmorland Road, and will feature a selection of 45 two, three and four bedroomed properties priced from £199,950.

Vallum Heights is the first of the builder’s developments to be built using a timber frame construction process which creates properties that deliver enhanced levels of insulation -reducing bills for the end user – whilst also reducing timescales, waste and the impacts to the environment associated with a traditional build.
All the completed properties will be fitted with solar panels, to generate green energy for the homeowner.
David added: “I am really enjoying my new role which is incredibly varied. It is great to work with buyers throughout the process from reservation to completion and to play a small part in their home buying journey.”
Through the lifetime of the project, there will be investment made into training and employment, parks and recreation and local community initiatives. This will include the creation of allotments and open spaces, the planting of new trees and shrubs around the site and additional ‘butterfly bank’ features, to encourage biodiversity in the area.
The project has been facilitated by Tynexe, a joint venture company comprising Newcastle City Council and Consett based Dysart Developments – which oversaw the necessary reclamation works to prepare the land for development.
